Vintage Goods

February 2nd, 2012

We have a few vintage sneakers sitting around in the office which we’ll get rid of for the best offer (even lowball offers will be considered). They probably wouldn’t hold up if you wear them, but they’re great for collectors. Email info@frontstreetny.com if you’re interested in any of them:

1990 Patrick Ewings (by a brand called Next Sports). Bad yellowing on the right foot, but they come in an awesome box. Size 9:

Nike Air Vengeance Mid Bo Jacksons (1993 originals) size 7. In very good condition but probably not suitable for wear. Includes original Nike box:

1991 Reebok Pump Andre Agassi size 9. Yellowing on the glue and sole, includes original box:

Blake Griffin Over Kendrick Perkins

Back to back days of highlight reel dunks. This time Blake Griffin makes a fool of Kendrick Perkins. Blake is a beast:

Lebron Dunks/Jumps Over John Lucas

January 30th, 2012

Lebron James one handed alley oop dunk while jumping over 5’11 John Lucas during yesterdays Heat-Bulls game. While on the subject we also have to show Vince Carter’s dunk in the Olympics a few years back jumping over the 7ft tall Frederic Weis. I say they’re about equal since Bron Bron’s was an alley oop, you be the judge:

Knock It Off

January 25th, 2012

Let’s be clear ladies and gentlemen (and Bow Wow), there are only 3 situations where someone should be wearing snowboard boots: 1) while snowboarding 2) just before snowboarding 3) just after snowboarding. One time I wore snowboard boots to school in 7th grade and realized how stupid it was before 2nd period was over, not to mention it was actually snowing. This will never ever ever be cool, fashionable, or acceptable:

RIP Adam Armstrong; 2003 Edit By Richardo Roberts

January 18th, 2012

The first time I met Adam Armstrong was at Union Square probably in early 2002. At that time there were only a handful of well-known riders in NYC and this random kid from Brooklyn was as good as any of them. I was by myself sitting on my bike waiting to meet up with some people, and he came over and introduced himself right off the bat. He was a legitimately good, down-to-earth dude and we rode together and hung out at Union Square a bunch.

After riding for only a couple years, he started popping up in magazines and videos, but soon after that he was riding less and less. He still passed by Union to hang out on his way to the gym or on his new motorcycle, but unfortunately in 2006 he passed away in a motorcycle accident. He had a big impact on me and the entire NYC BMX scene and he’s definitely missed. Richardo Roberts just posted this quick video of Adam riding in 2003 on his Tumblr:

RAT MAN

Mark Gralla’s part in the new Skavenger DVD. I remember 10+ years ago I was giving this kid a hard time for riding a pink flatland bike, now he’s one of my favorite riders:
